The Boys of Fashion Week

This just makes me smile! Check out this video by Justin Wu of the boys from Milan and Paris Fashion Week singing to "Bohemian Like You" (The Dandy Warhols). Featuring the chiseled likes of River Viiperi, Mark Cox, Luis Borges, Francisco Lachowski, Marcel Castenmiller and many more! Yeah, I like you!

Take It To The Limit

I've been a huge 3.1Phillip Lim fan ever since I saw Emma Roberts in one of his dresses in Teen Vogue some years ago. I couldn't figure out the 3.1 in front of the name and I was intrigued. Now I know it's because Phillip and his partner Wen Zhou were 31 when they started the label. He's only been designing for a couple of years now but what he has accomplished in such short time is stellar. I've yet to own a real Lim, but I'm pretty sure it won't be long till I do. Feast your eyes on his spring 2011 footwear collection.

La Belgique C'est Chique

Ghent really is a hot pocket for budding designers and design aficionados, and I love featuring those young up-and-comers on the site because who knows what role they will end up playing in the future?
Today I'm talking about a handsome fellow who goes by the pseudonym Pierre Élitaire. He's a Belgian design student who is currently living and studying in Rotterdam. Studying abroad in Norway and France, he has already garnered plenty of critical acclaim for his designs, won the Design And Design Award for his Plastic Dandy Chair, which was also featured by Kanye West. Now he is venturing into fashion design, check it out:

Sad emoticon face.

Due to the horrendous biannual student massacre, also known as 'exams', I won't be able to frequently update Style For Guys. I hope you can bear with me for a while; I'll still post the most important fashion news on my Twitter/ Facebook fanpage (i.e. fashion week updates, schedules etc.) and I will be back at the end of the month to bombard you with menswear goodies!
